Our New House

We have moved in! We finally closed on Wednesday afternoon. We are slowly getting boxes unpacked and it's looking less like a mess and more like a home. We got Glenn's room all set up today and he was so happy. He says he has an office in his room just like Mommy and Daddy since he has a nice desk. We still have to get him a monitor since his broke. So, he's still using our computers (need a new monitor fast!). He had his first day of school on Friday and loved it. He said he likes his teacher and he followed directions and it was awesome. I'm so happy to hear he loves his new school. I am meeting with his teacher tomorrow, because I feel like we just threw him in there without any preparations. He's excited to go back tomorrow, but his brother is sad that Glenn will be at school. He loves his big brother.

We went to Light Up Ocala last, yesterday. They had a parade and the boys got to see Santa (in a truck with a bucket that goes up- Santa was in the bucket- I almost missed him). The festival was like a mini fair, only you didn't have to pay to get in. It had bounce houses (of course they had to do that), crafts (people selling them and crafts kids to make), music, fair food, and collies that played soccer. We got there for the parade, so we missed the lighting of the tree. We didn't want to just sit there for an hour and a half, and figured we could go by there some other night. I'm not ready for it to be Christmas, yet, anyway.

We now have hot water (our gas was turned off a half hour before I called to switch it to our name- go figure) now and internet (so happy to have an office with internet again). And we tried to get local stations, but apparently there aren't any around her, so our cable is getting hooked up tomorrow. At least we've accomplished a lot around the house since we didn't have tv to watch.

I think we are going to go to Busch Gardens on Thanksgiving and then have our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday. We're looking forward to seeing it all decorated for Christmas. This will probably be our last time on our tickets.

Well, since I know you thought you'd get to see pictures of the house when you saw the title of this post, I thought I'd give you a sneak peak. These pictures are from the listing. I'm not taking pictures of the inside until we get everything unpacked.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Day at the Beach

I just found out yesterday that my pictures of our day at the beach didn't post properly. So, let's try this again:

Our Day at the beach

We went to the beach yesterday to clear our heads (since we still haven't closed on the house). We had a really nice time. The weather was just right and the water was a little cold, but the boys didn't seem to mind. They sat in the water and let the waves crash on them. We walked a long way, and Bob found a cool shell, about the length of my hand. Of course I brought it home. I made some shell creations (boys' names out of shells). I want to print them out, frame them and put them in their rooms. Enjoy the pictures!

Fall Activities

We've been having a fun fall, trying to keep ourselves busy while waiting for the closing on our house. That's right, we still haven't closed on our house. We sold our house in Orange Park, are living in the house my parents own in Orange Park, and are eagerly awaiting our closing in Ocala. We're told it will happen within the next week.

We went to Conner's A-Maize-ing Acres a couple weeks ago. Here are some pictures:

Here are a couple pictures from another of Alexander's soccer games. In this picture, he and Lily were making silly faces at each other while on the field (the ball was not in play):

And here's what you've been waiting for, their Halloween costumes. Alexander is a police officer and since they didn't have the same costume in Glenn's size, he is on the SWAT team (didn't want to wear the helmet because he was afraid it would mess up his hair):
