Glenn's Birthday Party

Glenn had his birthday party with his friends, yesterday. He enjoyed it so much! Here are pictures from the party. He had a Cars movie theme.

I made a Lightning McQueen pinata

I got this wall hanging with the Cars cars on it. We put it up the night before and Glenn was very surprised when he saw it in the morning.

We put out Glenn's race track for the guest to race with. They all loved it.

I made them Radiator Springs drivers licenses, which Bob handed out at the Radiator Springs court house.

They had fun playing Hullabaloo

I finally got Alexander singing on video. When he watches the video, he sings along. He's so sweet.

We are still waiting to hear his results from his allergy blood test. If we don't hear tomorrow, I'm supposed to call on Monday.

Glenn is turning five on Sunday!!! He's having a few friends over on Saturday to celebrate. Then we'll have him open his presents from us on Sunday, and Monday, he celebrates with his class. Then when both sets of grandparents come down next month for a visit, we'll have another party for him. He's excited that he has four birthday parties.

Alexander went for allergy testing today. We already knew he had a latex allergy, but he's been having a reaction on his bottom to his poop. So, he probably has a food allergy, too. They tested some things on his back, and they came back negative. But since he's so young, it might not come back positive. So, we're also going to do a blood test, which I have scheduled for tomorrow. That will test for things they couldn't test for on his back. But the same thing applies that since he's so young, if it's negative, it that doesn't really rule it out. He did well with the testing even though he was crying. I think he was crying more because he doesn't like medical people and not because it hurt (she showed me how it felt on my hand).

Here's a picture of the boys (because I know that's what you really want). Alexander is wrapped in his daddy's Snuggie and Glenn's dressed up from going to church.

I'm excited about my new website for my business. Bob did an excellent job with my old one, but he had to do all the updating and we had 4 different places on the web where I was updating new items. It was very time consuming. So, now I have a website on Artfire, which is a site for people who sell things that they make, or handmade items. The website is: http://LauriesCustomCreations.artfire.com
It also enables me to receive orders through Facebook, which most of the orders I received were from people who are "fans" on my business's fan page. Plus, now I can do all the updating myself and don't have to bother Bob (although he says he loved doing it).

In other news, it was a beautiful day today. Since Glenn didn't have school today, we went to a fun park this morning and Glenn and I flew a kite this afternoon while Alexander was sleeping.

Alexander hasn't been sleeping well the past few weeks. I think I finally figured out why, he has a 2-year old molar coming in. I didn't think it would come this early (he's 18 months). It looks very painful, and I'm sure the others will follow soon.

Here are a couple fun pictures:

You may remember we got a new video camera last month. I just downloaded all the videos from it to my computer and had the same problem as before where I can play the clips on my computer with audio, but when I make it into a movie, I lose the audio. I did find a fix for it on the internet, but only for all new videos. So, all the video I already have won't have audio when I post it on here. It's sad. So, I do have a couple videos to post from last night of Alexander, but all the other videos we have you really need the audio to fully appreciate it.

This first video shows Alexander playing with his new blocks he got for Christmas. He is able to stack them very well on his own. Every time they fall, he says "Ahhhhhh!" It's very cute, I wish you could hear it.

This next video is of Alexander playing with pegs to build a tower. I figured that if he could build blocks, the pegs would be really easy for him. I had gotten them for his birthday, but he wasn't ready for them at that time. I'm so proud of him.

And here is a picture of Glenn and I having an indoor picnic today. It's freezing outside, and I know how much he loves having picnics. So, I figured, why not? We did have a little trouble with puppy scavengers. The dogs would sneak up and take off with some of Glenn's food. But it was fun.

Here are some random pictures of my cuties from this week.

Glenn playing with his Shake and Go cars (didn't I do a good job putting the track together?)

Alexander riding his horse (it's amazing how he knew exactly what to do with it):

The first day back to school on Wednesday was a tough one for Glenn. He was so exhausted after school that he was cranky. So, I made him take a nap (not easy to convince him he's tired) and he just couldn't wake up from his nap, so I took this picture of my sleeping prince:

I found my boys all cozy together in the clothes basket:

Happy New Year! We had some friends over to help us ring in the new year. It was a lot of fun. And last weekend, we went to Sea World and met up with Bob's niece, Kathy, and nephew, Tim, and their father Tim. We had a great time, although it was very cold.
Alexander liked the Otter and Sea Lion show:

Glenn did NOT like the otter and sea lion show because it had pirates in it:

Tim got us a hotel room at the Swan Hotel in Disney. it was gorgeous! I wish I had taken a picture of our view during the day, but here's one at night:

We ate at the hotel that night and Glenn got to meet Pluto, his favorite Disney character:

Here's a picture after Alexander's bath last night. His hair actually looks pretty much the same this morning.

And what do you do when it's 31 degrees outside? Make a mess, as Glenn says. We brought all the pillows and a huge soft horse into the living room, blankets, and just rolled all over them. The kids loved it.
