We had a wonderful weekend. We were happy to have Bob back home last Friday. We went shopping Saturday and got some furniture for the lanai- 2 chairs, a chaise, and a couple of tables. It makes for a very comfortable outdoor room. We also went to a birthday party for one of Glenn's classmates- it was about 90 degrees and humid, so very hot. Sunday, I planted some more flowers in the front yard. I think I'm done planting until after the baby's born because it's getting difficult for me to bend over to plant with this big baby belly in the way. Monday, we had a family over for a BBQ; they have 2 daughters and the older one is in Glenn's class. She and Glenn play so well with each other and with the younger sister, too. The weather was beautiful Sunday and Monday, in the low 80s.
Today, everyone's a bit tired. Glenn even took a nap, 2nd day in a row (that doesn't usually happen). That gave me a chance to go grocery shopping. If anyone is looking for tasty ice cream that's fat free, Bryers makes a new ice cream. I know, it sounds gross, but Bob even loved it. I'm on a low fat diet, and love my sweets, so this is a great compromise. We'll even continue getting this ice cream after I'm off this diet.
I also had another ultrasound this morning. The baby is head down, and I got to see him practice breathing and sucking. It was so sweet.

Glenn has a new friend. His name is Scooby; perhaps you've heard of him. We are having trouble pronouncing his name-the "Sc" has been replaced by "B". We're still working on it. He loves reading his Scooby stories.

Glenn usually eats pudding when he gets home from school. On this day, it got a little messy:

We have put together the baby's room. We were afraid we were going to have to buy a new crib because we couldn't find the hardware anywhere. But thankfully we held off for a few weeks and I found it. Glenn usually says "baby bed" when he passes by the baby's room. And I've been cleaning the baby clothes- Glenn likes to see the baby clothes. I can't believe how small this baby is going to be compared to Glenn. Glenn's going to look huge compared to the baby. Here are some pictures of the baby's room:

I've also redone the "boy's bathroom." Glenn has monkeys in his room, so I couldn't resist this monkey theme for the bathroom. Every time Glenn gets soap from the monkey soap pump, he tells him thank you.

Potty Trouble
A couple nights ago, Bob got Glenn dressed for bed and was sure he put a diaper on him. When Glenn got up in the morning, he had underwear on with his pj shorts on over it. He did make it through the night without and accident, but of course as soon as he got out of bed had an accident.
The next night, Glenn was supposed to be going to sleep, but I heard some noise in his room. He had taken off his diaper because it was apparently wet. He was trying to put on a clean diaper by himself. I asked him where his dirty diaper was and he pointed to his diaper champ.
Today, he had been having some quiet time in his room, and I heard him say potty and yucky. I went to his room and he had taken off his dry diaper, because he apparently knew he needed to potty. But he pointed on the floor because he went all over the floor. It looked as though he started in one spot and then started walking to his door. It was all over. I think he didn't know what to do. Poor kid.
At least he's getting the idea that he needs take off the diaper. He just needs to tell me before he takes the diaper off so I can get him to the toilet. We'll keep trying.
