Just letting everyone know that I did not go into labor last night like Bob thought I would. I've been trying to keep myself busy today so I'm not just sitting around waiting. After dropping Glenn off at school, I did a little grocery shopping. Then I made a cake (I've been craving chocolate cake). As soon as Glenn gets up from his nap, we're going to have a big brother party with the cake. We were going to have a pre-birthday party for the baby, but Glenn so no to that. So, we're going to celebrate that Glenn is going to be a big brother. He thought that was a good idea. We are supposed to be at the hospital at 6:30 tomorrrow morning to get everything started.

We haven't heard from the hospital, so we're assuming we're not getting one of the induction spots for tomorrow (Monday). So, we're set for Tuesday. There is a chance that we won't even get our time on Tuesday if too many women are in labor and there's not a room for me. I hope that doesn't happen; it would be very frustrating. Bob for some reason thinks I'm just going to go into labor tonight. I'm not sure why except that I went into labor on a Sunday night with Glenn, but that has no bearing on this time. I think he's setting himself up for disappointment. Oh, he also doesn't want to work tomorrow, so maybe it's just wishful thinking. :)

I've decided my body is broken. I had contractions for over 8 hours yesterday (not painful, but at regular intervals), and then they stopped. It's very frustrating. I was about to call my doctor because I had several hours of contractions 5 minutes apart, but then they slowed down. Bob and I even went for a walk last night watching some of the of neighborhood fireworks, but that didn't help. Oh well, I've become resigned to the fact that I'm going to have to be induced.

Sorry, I forgot to post yesterday that everything went fine at the ultrasound. My amniotic fluid level went back up to where it had been previously, so the doctor was fine with letting me stay pregnant through the weekend. We're still scheduled for the induction on Tuesday, unless the hospital calls to move us up to Monday. We're still hoping I'll just go naturally this weekend. The staff at the doctors offices can't believe that I'm still pregnant with all the contractions I've had the past 4+ weeks. But I am. At least I'll only be pregnant for a few more days.

Happy Independence Day! We are planning on having a picnic lunch, and then going to the pool. And we've got a BBQ planned for tonight. We'll just sit outside this evening and see what fireworks we can see since we can see so far since there aren't any hills around us.

I saw my OB this morning. He wasn't concerned at all about the amniotic fluid because it's not real low. My planned induction date is next Tuesday (I'll be moved up to Monday if a slot opens). But I also have an ultrasound on Thursday, and if there are any issues, then they'll try to induce me then. Hopefully the baby will just come on his own before then.
